Kim Sievers – co-owner & stylist
Kim Sievers, co-owner and stylist at Serenity is a two-year veteran in the beauty industry. At the age of 45, an opportunity to own her own salon and spa launched Kim into her cosmetology career. Kim enjoys all aspects of being in the salon, and strives to create a culture of relaxation and rejuvenation at Serenity. Kim considers her specialty to be facials, as she enjoys skin care and the opportunity to spoil her clients. She and husband Mike are home-grown Storm Lakers, farming and raising livestock for 30 years. They have 3 grown children, and four grandchildren.
Jennifer Barth – senior stylist
Jennifer Barth, senior stylist at Serenity, is a 3 ½ year veteran in the beauty industry. She attended Faust Institute of Cosmetology in Storm Lake and graduated in September 2007. Jennifer loves all aspect of the beauty industry whether it be cut, colors, or spa. Jennifer is married to Brandyn Barth and resides in Storm Lake.
Radonna Kindall – stylist
Radonna Kindall has been a stylist throughout the midwest for 20 years and is a 15-year vetren of Aveda products. She is classified as a master stylist. However, she believes that there is always room to grow and learn more. She loves what she does and to make people feel good. She is eager to join this growing community and make every client feel and look their best. Radonna is a Kansas native and moved to Storm Lake in January 2012. She has a 14-year-old son.
Tara Bateman – stylist
Tara Bateman, stylist at Serenity, is new to the world of cosmetology. She graduated from Faust Institute at Storm Lake in April 2011. Prior to becoming a cosmetologist, she worked as an event planner and in research compliance. However, cosmetology has always been a passion of hers. While in school, Tara participated in the national Junior Style Stars bridal style mannequin competition. After graduating, she competed in the 2011 Aveda Pow-Wow mannequin competition. Whether it is cutting, coloring, or styling, Tara enjoys all aspects of hair.
Tim Humes – massage therapist
Storm Lake native, Tim Humes has been a licensed massage therapist since 2000! He received his training at the Universal College of Healing Arts in Omaha, Nebraska. Tim specializes in an advanced, therapeutic Swedish massage enhanced with essential oils. He is also trained in gentle deep tissue, stretching techniques, and pregnancy massage. Enjoying travel, Tim has gone to Alajuela, Costa Rica,; Chiang Mai, Thailand; and Phoenix, Arizona for specialized education classes.
